Before I saw your pics with the zuiko 18, I thought vignetting wide open was a weakness of a lens. But, aside from the fact that it is so easily correctable, I have grown to like vignetting.
I love both shots!

Anyone know where I can find a 49-72 hood/adapter for my zuiko 18? Even a push on cap would be helpful. I feel so exposed when I carry my camera with the 18 on it. That bulbous front lens element seems to be crying out for something to scratch it.

the original 49-72s are fairly hard to find. Expect to pay at least $50 if you find one in the open market. There's some DIY methods using step-up rings to get the equivalent made via a couple step-ups and/or an empty filter, but it's not as nice a solution.
You can make a push-on cap w/o too much trouble. I made one from the cap from a spice container, (McCormick I think was the brand - it was red, the cap that is...), basically it just required a little sanding on the inside edge of the cap to make it a snug fit. Worked pretty well overall.
