Great comparison and work Garen I'm with you on the appreciation of how fine the 50D functions... I think the 50D focuses very accurately, fast and tracks near as well as my MkII and MkIIN bodies. It sure is sweet to have the additional resolution to work with..Oh and isn't it nice to have the weight reduction when swinging a big lens? I finally picked up a late version MkIII, and I'm anxious to get out with it. If it focus tracks near as well as my MkII bodies I will be a very happy camper. I appreciate seeing this collection of work

Hi Garen,
Sorry I missed the posting. (You must have first posted these when I was in hibernation). Images excellent and the details are super. I am waiting for Nikon to come with something similar so I can upgrade my D200 to that.

Thanks for the look Alex and I agree the 50D is an excellent camera and I'm sure your MK3 will do just fine once you dial in the correct setting.

Thanks Harsha I have a D300 and it sure is an amazing camera give it a shot
Try the above in marginal light where the 50D requires ISO 400 or above and image quality drops quickly. I gave up on my 50D. In good light it took nice photos. In poorer light IQ dropped off quickly as ISO went up. My 5D in the same situation produced beautiful images.

I agree 100%, MK3 is far better than 50D and I guess that's why it cost 4 times more but, for $1100 it is hard to beat
