I was thinking something along the lines of a rubber strap wrench to do the grabbing for you.
Realized I can't take any pics with my 135/2.8 as I am restricted to only using two lenses this whole month. Lucky for me at least one of them is an AIS, so here are more shots from my wonderful 85/1.4 @ f2

Check out the first post of this thread. Here's one more @ f/1.4. Terrible bokeh, low sharpness and tons of spherical aberration. But who cares?
Some pix from this afternoon with the Nikkor-S 55/1.2 wide open. This lens is not for every occasion, but at low light it behaves very nice. Alot of vignetting and spherical aberration, sometimes not-so-nice bokeh, but then sometimes it just shines. I love it!
Second, some snapshots from a walk this weekend. I mainly use this lens as a walkaround when I don't want to lug around the 24-70/2.8. As other said, these lenses are from perfect but they're dead sexy and light(ish).
D'oh! Forgot to stop down... That's not an optical problem with the lens, his "eye" is so strong the universe bends around him.

That's with the AF-S 24-70/2.8 stopped down a good bit (at least for me) - f/11 - since I was trying to capture as much detail with the strap as I could.

It's a custom strap from Gordy's Straps - I just got mine and was taking some photos for Gordon Coale, who makes the straps by hand in the US.
Here's a couple shots with a MF lens that I reckon no one here uses, the Nikkor 43-86mm f/3.5. Got this lens specifically for use with my macro tilt adapter, which has a built in 8 degree tilt. Not stunning optical quality, needless to say - contrast generally is poor, which adds up to a lot of tweaking in post.
