Comes from shooting in the very deep shade before the sun cleared the mountain (hill if you are from the west and know about real mountains ). Glad you enjoyed it otherwise.
wowzers hugh...zinger huh...little do you know i lived in alta, utah for 3 seasons...tsk tsk :-p
need to set the WB on the camera to shade to get it a bit warmer...or in post still ;-)

Hi Aaron - no zinger intended - I just hate to get admonished by folks who really know mountains - I'm certainly not in that number - for calling the Blue Ridge mountains. They may have the name, but not the stature.
Re. the 'blue' - I like it.
