The fall colors are getting everyone's adrenaline going strong. So, sift through your memory cards and select your ONE 'best of season' to post on this thread. Be sure to include the location and any other data you care to. No hurry, the colors run into November in some places. Just one image per member, please. Thanks!
Santa Fe New Mexico, One street up from Canyon Road (I work at a gallery Part time) I saw this on my way to work. Had to park at work and walk back. A Virginia Creeper.

That's outrageous! Not what I would have thought of for fall color but it definitely makes you stop and look. Very well seen and captured. One of the best things I find on this forum are shots that most of us would not have seen. This is one of them.
Here's a little color from the northern part of GTNP taken last week. That's the upper reaches of Jackson Lake in the background. A 2-image stitch using a Zeiss 60mm PC lens.

Hello Don.
An exquisite image. Love the understated, clean color. Very well done.

Hey Matt,
Love this shot! Though not sure it would fall into my normal Fall Color category since the color is all gone... But I do like the shot and I am glad that you did not slide down too far!

Good idea on starting this thread! I will be curious as to how long everyone can hold out to the "one" image criteria....

I drove by that location a dozen times this last week and would often see people shooting from there. I never stopped, but it's cool to see what that shot looked like!
Here is one from this past weekend in Marble, Colorado. The photo was in Marble, the weekend was all over SW Colorado (1000 miles on the car later...) I wonder if I saw some of you at the Bells Been a year since I last posted. Was out with the cancer thing. I'm back now, baby.
