Amazing capture, Matt! How does one meter an image like that?

Here is one from this past weekend in Marble, Colorado. The photo was in Marble, the weekend was all over SW Colorado (1000 miles on the car later...) I wonder if I saw some of you at the Bells Been a year since I last posted. Was out with the cancer thing. I'm back now, baby.

Hi Jen,
Very glad to see you back. This is a wonderful image with which to start. Well done.
Very nice work so far!!!! No colors here yet...usualy latter part of October before colors go nuts here. So will post when I get mine. Just moved, so now only 15 min from Columbia Gorge so this fall season should get me out a lot.
Look forward to keeping my eye on this thread....shold be a good one.
Well, this will be easy for me, since this is the ONLY fall color picture I've taken or will take. I had a 3 week trip planned, then last minute got a business opportunity in Europe that I just couldn't pass up. Luckily they have trees here too. So, from the "HofGarten" in Dusseldorf.
I wouldn't mind knowing how it looks. This is the first picture I've edited for viewing from my laptop, so I'm curious as to how it looks on your monitors.
Seeing all these makes me jealous, keep up the good work guys and gals!

Chasing the train thru the color. Great display, this year. We think it's because there has been no hard freeze.

I have been in western Colorado for fall foliage...I think I was too early by a week in some areas and dead on for timing in other areas. I head back to PNW Sunday and will spend a few days in the Sneffels Mt. range as they were somewhat late in color when I was there and are now expecting high elevation snow this weekend.
This image is unprocessed as I am posting via a uncalibrated laptop. It is of Crystal Lake with a Red Mountain reflection. I joined another photographer on the bank at 8:50 am and he told me 9:00 am created the best lighting. It lasted about 15 minutes and it was gone. I just made it. Some post work should help the image but it was a very stunning display of color, reflection, and lighting. Jarv...Show more →
I took some quick photos at that particular lake in February and thought it must look great in the Fall.
Anyways, here is one of mine taken during a short hike in RMNP:
We probably bumped into one another at Crystal Lake Jarv. I was there this past Saturday morning and again on Monday morning. Monday was the best for me. Good shot, if not a little over saturated.
Best of luck.
