Nice light, Jon, especially in the last two, of the cake and the groomsman. The 135 just drinks up the light.

I just got my 135L last week and I'm already completely in love with it. This thread is making me grin from ear to ear about all the things I can look forward to.

Nice shots wbrad. That last stitch is gorgeous. I'm debating on this lens or the 200 2.8 and the shots in here are really making me want to sell the 100 f2 for the 135 f2

Maybe we could start a sort of weekley assignment focusing on certain lenses (or at least focal length).
say have a week for the 35 then 50 then 85 then 135.

Be nice to see more images on the board

They were. The studio I've been in for some years is long and narrow:

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2035/2210011765_c57590cd70.jpg

I'm sure if I was in a more stubby studio the 85mm or the 50mm would be good, but I can still get pretty close to my subjects with the 135.

Bang-for-buck wise, its worth every penny for the lens. I don't mind taking a few extra steps backward when I need to.

Nice shots. I have a question the shot of the chef. Is that two lights behind at about 45 giving the cheekbone highlight (one on left one on right), and a softbox directly overhead for the catchlights? Just wondering if you can give a brief rundown of how that was lit. Softbox size included. Thanks

Does anyone own both a 135L and a 70-200 2.8? It would be interesting to compare sample shots from both lenses wide open at 135mm.
