Caporicci is only 19 and already has a magazine cover to his credit, I think he's pretty darn good.
Magazine covers don't mean anything. I don't know them so my opinion is purely unbiased and is based on their work. But you are right. For 19 year olds, they have a very good work!
Had a chance to spend 10 minutes on Jesh De Rox's site and show it to my wife and daughter(who'll be getting married next year.)
None of us could understand his style! The images are extremely textured, it makes the skin look very bad. My daughter, had her eyes wide open, telling me she would never want any imperfections added to her skin, as the examples on his website.
I don't know,but I guess some people dig it. Don't get me wrong, I use textures too,but very moderately and try to blend them in such a way,not make female's skin any worse that it is. I mean, this is why I hate digital noise(ISO 3200 is huge no-no to me), as it adds imperfections to the skin. I wouldn't say his photography blew me away. Nice,but not as nice as say last year's top 10 American photographers( haven't had a chance to really see this year's results)
