Add Jeff Toogood and Bryan Caporicci to that list. Their both relative newcomers, but are both very talented.
No offence, but average to me(just my opinion)
These days it is really hard to tell who was doing it for many years and who just snapped a few images as an assistant and then a few as a guest family photographer.
I know A LOT of photographer who were doing free weddings last year and this year they have prices starting at $2,5000-3.500. Surely, they are not doing it full time,so they don't care if they get a client or not. They have their website, featuring 4-5 weddings and they are happy about it. If I was a client, I'get really pissed if I paid a photographer $3Gs and found out that he/she only did 5-7 weddings.
I just googled some photographers to see who are good in Ontario(most of the ones mentioned seem to be in the west). There were some very good photographers in Toronto. Some are just pure crap. Look at Babylon studios in Toronto. 10 years in business, but their photography work is a joke.
I personally enjoyed what these Ontario photographers had to offer:
StillMotion
David Biesse
Dmitri Markine
Mimmo & Naz
Boston Images (not my style, but very nice)
Couldn't find a website for five15teen,but I've heard about them many times in the past as hi end..so they must be good too.
Anyone read Rangefinder magazine in Canada? This guy made the front cover and hails from my hometown. He's garnered several prestigious awards in both Canada and the United States. http://www.ratchfordphotographic.com/gallery.php

I haven't read it or heard about them, but there are some very good work on their site. However, it's one of the worst websites I've seen! Very hard to navigate, so I gave up after 2 minutes. They definitely need a new website. Which is ironic, since they do have a web designer on staff...
Not sure how many photographers they have on payroll. That's what happens with big studios. They have 3-6 photographers and show all the images online. You never know who took the images.
Those pictures are a study in what not to do. A strong homage to nauguhide, avocado appliance and mac-tac.

I cannot see any inappropriate poses. Though there is some hideously cheese from front to back and a lot of unfortunate families with pictures dating their walls.
If you think those are scary poses for children (of which I saw none actually) then do not go looking under the girl's clothing on eBay with the key words "Boutique Custom" and put them in highest price first order...

a good example is on pg 6 of the children gallery, center column. 'school girl' outfit, splayed out on the floor, thigh-highs. just ick.
is it an overtly sexual picture? not exactly. i'm no prude, but in our 'britney spears' society is it completely inappropriate? YES!
there are many more pics like that on the site. kids made up to be much older than they are. just yuck.
Nah - the yuck resides in the full gross cheesiness of the photos in general - the suck runs wide and deep there.

I actually enjoyed many of their images. They have a lot of great images mixed up with some real cheese. I still not sure if some of the backgrounds in their images are real or if they used green screen. I would not be surprised if they did due to so much studio cheese
