There could be several reasons for lower data throughput. For example: extra assist focus points would require more complex calculations by the Digit CPU when using servo mode.

weird thing crivera has a good record and insists 4fps but i found another guy with an equally good record who insists it is not 4fps and a litle better AF than hinted at here.... let's hope other guy is correct.

The mode dial just throws me off. Otherwise I would have thought we were looking at a 1d3N or something.

I want that lens on the body .... whatever it is, but hopefully it is either a 24/1.4L Mk II or, even better .... the 14-24/2.8L.

Yeah, but those don't feature any buttons either... i think it's trimmed down for the sake of showing the curvature.

Assuming with the 50D that Canon can easily handle a throughput of 95 MP/s, that would translate to 4.5 FPS for a 21 MP sensor.

its 6 am in australia, normally the NDA is remvoed at midnight EST for instance for the canon 50d DPREVIEW posted their preview at midnight
