No, native is 100. It's probably two stops boosted in software. So the loss of two stops dynamic range. Playing the game Nikon started.
Sorry for my bad enlish. Saying "native" I mentioned its 6400 wit the sensor. Not only H1 or H2 calculated.
By definition the 5D does not include all of Canon's features. The new camera could be pro everything, but it wouldn't be a 5DII. I think most of us looking for a 5D replacement want an outstanding sensor. The 5D is about "the film".
The camera can be over $3K with the right film. People here will have a stroke and it will sell well.

It looks like there's gonna be a lot of pissed off people anyway... Canon can't win this one:
- The camera is packed with features and cheap. A slap on 1D series users' face!
- The camera is featureless and cheap. Not good enough to compete with Nikon and Sony
- The camera is really good but expensive. Not good enough to compete with Nikon and Sony
- The camera is not that great and expensive. WHAAAAAAT?
I want video/I dont want video. I want more megapixels/I want less megapixels. Live view/no live view. Pop-up flash/no pop-up flash....
Either way people will complain! Canon cant win... They left it till the last minute, now its too late to lead the way and keep everyone happy. Too bad for them, who cares, I'm bored, whats on TV?...Show more →
We are getting closer! NO built in grip.
I'm just passing the info along, looks plausible with the moon teasers.
I also think its a photochop moon capture and the old 5D photo.

defiantly a horrible photoshop. look at the 5D and Mark II, very pixelated. Middle school students can do a better job of photoshopping this with MS Paint

Canon made an attempt to respect the 'S' in ISO. We had low and high, which are apparently not 'standard' enough to be called ISO. But that's 'throw out the window' with Nikon and its crazy post capture processing. So now Canon will call it ISO25600, even though they would rather not.
* Capteur CMOS 24X36 24 MP
* 25600 ISO
* Nouvelle batterie avec reconnaissance de l'autonomie
* nouveau grip BG-E 6
* Processeur DIGIC IV
* Boîtier en alliage de magnésium
* Live view
* Mode vidéo
* Système de nettoyage intégré
* Compatible objectifs EF et Speedlite EX
La suite des caractéristiques....bientôt!
So the french site added ISO 25600. Anyone want to calculate exact photosite size based on 24mp?
I guess it will have an intelligent battery. Either to 1) Make it harder for third parties to make batteries, and/or 2) Power is more important with video.

I haven't dipped into this thread for a while but the latest rumour is 24MP for the 5D replacement?
If my French is correct, nothing in that text says anything about 1 series AF.
If its a 5DII it will not have 1 series AF. Canon is not going to sell a camera with the French specs and 1 series AF for $2500 - $3500. They don't have to.

You guys are absolutely right. In 10 years we will be photographing the superbowl with camera's and lenses that fit in our pocket...right..
And we can do it from home looking at our HD TV. Cool.

So you are selling Canon are not going to sell a camera with the French specs for that price? Or for the French specs and 1 series AF, for that price?
Northlight images says the AF will be the basis for the next 1 series AF. Either way, as long as the AF is better than the current 5D, it could be interesting.
