Beautiful space! I like your "two-sided" window/lobby display idea.
One suggestion: I'd hire someone to put a short wheelchair ramp in where the step to the restroom is, so that your space is ADA compliant.
We have one. It was built to be movable since it cuts right through the dressing area. We had to have it in place for final inspection of the building, but then we took it out with the thought of putting it in place when needed. In the 8 months we've been working in this location it's never come up.

There are questions on here all the time like, "where do you meet your clients?", "does having a professional-looking space increase your percieved value?", and "how do you present your portfolio to potential clients?".
This post is plenty appropriate, given this context, and has been well received (based on being 5 pages deep with positive comments) by many on this board.

Easy tiger.
Mel is a well liked Wedding Photographer on this board, and many of us are delighted to see her studio. This is exactly the forum for it to be in.
Mel - have you dared do the sums on whether this venture is working for you economically? I ask cos I can't see how I could do the same in London and not lose money - the costs would just be too high I think.
Hahaha! Thanks "Lord Fluff"... this is where my friends are... and this is where the people who've been with me since BEFORE the store front are... I couldn't care less about showing this off to strangers (though I did put it in the other forum because Jeff goes there). I'd rather celebrate with all of YOU!
I cant say anymore that everyone else has. What a sensational space! You did a gorgeous job. Going to your own space to work hardly seems like work, well done!
Oh my goodness Melaine!!!! I am just now getting to see this post and I have to say I am soooo excited for you!!! It looks awesome! The front window is WOW!!! Way to go girl!!! What a blessing!!!!
