Also, I reworked the 2005 photography below. The original had a lot of noise because it was shot with an early firmware 20D and the RAW tools at the time where not that great. I simply dumped the RAW file in the latest ACR and the noise control default setting made miracles.

I love the 3rd image you posted of Gion-ku. It is priceless and a very unusual shot that provides a glimpse into the person behind the makeup. It also speaks volumes about your ability as a photographer to establish a rapport with the person you are photographing - also quite rare.
