just a snapshot from earlier today. wanted to test out the "macro" feature on this FD 35-105. kinda neat i guess. first roll through my grandfather's old ae-1 that i found a while back. fuji superia 400 + self dev/dslr scanned.
My mom gave me the last roll from her 35mm Nikon days, a roll of Photo Source Signature Color 400, a company out of Austin TX in the late 80s/early 90s. My best guess is this roll was 30 years old, and stored in a closet for that long. I haven't been able to find much info on this stock, and I doubt it was very popular as a result. Wasn't expecting much, was mostly an experiment to see if it would even expose. Glad to have tried it during a chill weekend, I kind of like the super aged vibes coming through here.

Do you think it would be beneficial to increase the contrast , by trying to bring down the blacks quite a bit ?
It was interesting trying to figure out how to PP these lightly but still maintain some of the filmic look.
I honestly don't think these exposed anywhere close to the right colors for this stock, based on photos I've seen from my mom's shooting of it back in the day. LR barely made a dent in the extreme noise, and editing the contrast and blacks gave some odd results. I decided to just stick with them as they developed for now.
For giggles I ran a few through topaz to see if i could knock SOME of the extreme noise down but the results were very uneven across the frame.

Was this the original C200, or the new Kodak badged as Fuji 200? I'm still shooting the OG stuff, but will eventually get to my Kodak stash.
I always think its funny how some people discredit C200 as a budget/low quality offering. I love it and made $$ using it.
This is the new stuff. Just picked up some gold 200 to try out next week at another beach, will be fun to see the difference.
