That's weird. I'm not super familiar with Nikon AF gear, the F6 is my first and only Nikon SLR with AF. How you don't run into anymore strange behavior!
Yeah, I couldn't recreate the issue. I mounted the 105 AIS again, then the Sigma. No issues. Must have been one of those things..
Got delivered a little bit ago, loaded it up, taking it out in an hour or so. I don't think I have it in me to blow through 72 frames but I'm going to try.

See, you've got to think of it as 36 frames! Just you take each frame 'twice'!
Hey, this battery adapter just showed up for my FT. It changes the voltage from 1.5V batteries down to the correct 1.35V for the FT. Works perfectly, and is superbly made. I bought this one, not the Kanto/Cris one, because it comes recommended more highly, apparently fits better, and is cheaper.
Desmolicious: what does this tell me? I can't tell if I'm off by 1/2 a frame or not. Do you just sacrifice a dyptich if necessary and don't worry too much about it?
First pic the shutter isn't cocked, second pic it is. Did I just advance it to the 44th frame?

It advances on the frame counter once for every 2 exposures you make - it it behaves the same as my FT in that regard.
Which is why you see 44, then a mark for 46, then 48, then a mark for 50 etc
