Oh, man. It's been my dream for the last 7 years to move to LA (I got divorced 7 years ago. X-wife didn't want to move to LA. Now I can!!). Most of my clients are there and it would be good for my biz. But, yeah. The fires, drought, floods and the Big One are keeping me in NY. For now.
Then move to Northern California. Fires are rarely local. Drought isn’t completely awful. Floods are rare. Big one would probably just give us a jiggle. Lived outside Sacramento since 91...never really impacted by any of those issues. LA is an hour flight.
The dream has always been LA since I was a teenager and went with my dad for a movie shoot. I'll never forget the energy I felt - like there was electricity in the air...
Meanwhile, back here in sunny (and hot) Brooklyn - here are a few from my walk over the Williamsburg Bridge this weekend.

Ektachrome? Did Kodak finally release the NEW Ektachrome, or do you have a secret stash in the freezer?
I have a pile of 120 and 4x5 Ektachrome 64t and Fujichrome 64t in the freezer. It is my absolute favorite film for shooting at night (which I mainly do).

Cool! It looks like the new Ektachrome 100 film stock is still being tweaked, but it's getting closer to actually being released.
Been away awhile and lots to go back through. Went across country back in May and have developed/scanned all the film save some provia that I will send off for developing/scanning. I will share some with you. We went to Kings Canyon NP and Sequoia NP. LOOOOOng drive there and back. Shot portra 160, 400, ektar, gold 200, provia, triX, and delta 100.
Paradise Vally, ektar shot on rebel 2k with lowly 28-80 eos lens (super light hiking setup).
and one on gold 200 (surprised how well the gold turned out)
