Nate not sure about coatings... its the ancient "QF" version of the lens so in theory it should be SC, but I can see all kinds of colours reflecting on the front element which makes me think otherwise. The film is actually rebranded neopan from freestylephoto, I stocked up a little bit
Nah it was a group buy, postage ended up being much less than that. Let me know if you are in Melbourne, we usually do it once a month or so. Now waiting for the B&H order to arrive

I took my Speed Graphic + Aero Ektar out "in the field" for the first time last weekend and shot 18 sheets of Arista Edu 100 and 8 of Portra 160 VC at the Thai New Years celebration at the local temple in my city. For the B&W I used Grafmatics, which are very convenient. Freestyle decided to take 3 days to get my order shipped out, so I plunged ahead and developed the Arista in HC-110 Dilution H rather than the Diafine I'd ordered (my exposure was kind of all over the place, I really need to get a handheld meter or one of those hot shoe ones). I was also trying out the Combi-Plan developing tank for the first time, I've got to say it beats the pants off of tray developing. It's pretty convenient with the Grafmatics; the Combi Plan holds six sheets, as does each Grafmatic magazine. Makes processing/keeping track of everything in the darkroom pretty simple.
The color stuff I'm going to send out after another shoot next weekend, looking forward to seeing how it comes out!
Here's a shot of my gear bag, the flash handle makes a nice grip so I packed it along:
This one was pretty underexposed, but I was able to kinda save it in post.
Pretty sure the light leak on the left side of the image was from almost pulling the Grafmatic out of the back by accident when I was cycling to the next shot. None of the other images had it, luckily.
Muay Thai demonstration
Cropped out some extra stage on the bottom. Wish I'd exposed more to get some detail in the shadows on the announcers face :-\
That second B&W shot is exactly the kind of photo that has me back and forth over getting an old press 4x5 camera or something. I absolutely love that look. Nice moment, too.
Where do you get your negs processed/scanned. I used to process my black and whites myself and scan them, but that's just painful and time consuming. The drugstore scans for my C-41 film just isn't cutting it either. My film gear is pretty much collecting dust due to lack of a good lab in my area. Recommend a mail order lab, if you've got a good one. Thanks.

Thanks! The Arista film only works out to $0.50/sheet or thereabouts, so it doesn't have to break the bank.

I do my own processing and scanning. I didn't like tray developing, the Combi Plan makes it a lot less painful to develop 4x5 film. For scanning I have an Epson V500 at home for 35mm and 120, and I borrow work's V750 for the big stuff.
For 4x5 mail order color processing, I think Samy's in Santa Barbara has the best prices ($1.50/sheet for C-41, $1.70 for E-6). I don't shoot a lot of color 35mm, but CVS is usually okay for when I do. I do my own scans unless I'm really in a hurry; even the V500 smokes whatever they're using. If I shot color 120, I'd likely do the Walmart mail-out thing.
I also like the waterfall shot further up the page, well timed to get the smooth movement in the water and also catch some of the native fauna without blurring it.

Thanks! I'm very fearful of heights so I couldn't venture to where he went.
