Thanks, Jon, but its not too bad with camera and tripod over your shoulder, If you take a couple of lenses, filters, etc. then the story is much different. For me the results are worth the effort. If I do my part.
Love this shot. So unusual to see so much dark shadows in an image in the digital age - there is too much temptation for most of us to push those shadows to the brink in LR! The shadows here really lend to the feel of the image. Nicely done.
^^^ Thank you!
You're right about the shadows. I shot my trip to Oregon parallel on (transparency)film and digital and left the film almost unaltered (beside horizontal adjustment, resizing and framing) as it didn't call for any shadows, colour or exposure tweaking.
Imaginatively, this shot was of interest of Richard from NCPS who posted it on their Facebook.
Few other scans by NCPS are below.
Ratty, great shots from Shanghai's Old City. I eventually ended up there last fall and had a chance to take number of images right after sunrise with almost no people around. It was a great opportunity to walk alone along narrow alleys/streets, totally undisturbed and occasionally greeted. Well, all shot in digital format.

Thanks. I just got back from the Old City just now. Blazing hot out here, not the rain that was forecast. Even though I was shooting from 9am to 12pm, it was really really hot. I've done the old city area at 6am in the past and yes, it is a much different and nicer experience. I've also done the old city area well after dark which was really cool too.
Today I shot 3 rolls of color film there, Kodak Portra 160. A shame it's going to be almost 3 weeks until I can post these, or even see them. Traveling back to the US next week so my regular schedule is on hold until I return.
