Hello, I just got a great Mamiya 7 II kit.
How do you know if the rangefinder is off?
Other than from inspecting the developed film?
Yes, I am a rangefinder neophyte, I have never used a rangefinder system before.
When I was 16 I almost died on that bridge! It was shrouded in fog and a semi truck had stalled in the middle of the span. The driver was just starting to put out flares and we didn't see it at all. We were able to swerve out of the way, but the guy behind us wasn't so lucky. That driver did not make it. The wall of fog was so sharp on the bank of the river that we didn't really have any notice to slow down...
I'll share a 4X5 mistake I made. Apparently, I loaded this TXP320 backwards in the holder and exposed it that way. First time, so far, I've done that. Very dense negative. I kinda like it, composition aside. Just a county courthouse here in TX, Lee County to be exact.
Olympus 35RC on Tri-X. My very first camera...I took this thing everywhere, backpacking, sailing, etc, etc..hadn't been used in at least 25 years. It needs a serious rehab, but I did get a few good images out of it. A real joy to use and a super sharp little lens.
