RPL is QUITE expensive... but they are really good and have spectacular customer service. I never have to tweak my scans. download, cull, straighten if I have to then straight to blog/client/print etc. If I ever move up to large format then I may start developing on my own. I'm kind of taking it step by step, see where it goes.
a few more from a recent roll (I go on these posting binges. Sorry )
Zalmyb, the lens I am now using on my ZI (just shot 3 rolls) is my other Zeiss, a 25mm ZM and as you have probably read, it seems great on the ZI. Zalmy, I think i bought a Nikkor 105 f2.8 MF lens from you last summer, it has been great!.
KatieInTexas, can you tell what your new toy will be? I read with interest your comments about developing your film, I think I would like to give it a try and I read that especially with blk & wt film, it is not terribly difficult ??
I've never used/had a rangefinder and if I'd be shooting 35mm I'd love the smaller size, weight and sound. And the actual rangefinder part sounds interesting.
In other news I just bought a RZ67 with a 110 lens for $360 today That should stave off my Mamiya 7 desires for a little bit...
Congratulations on both the Zeiss Ikon and the 50/2 planar. I am sure you will love the lens. Its rendering is so Zeissy

cover your ears, new gear talk, I am having so much fun with the ZI suggested by several people on this forum. And, EdwardK, B&H has just notified me that they now have a ZM 50 f2, I have followed your suggestion to grab this as well.
Oooh love it. I was just looking at medium format setups because I'd like to shoot Delta 3200 as I love its grain in that size. Would love to try it out but another setup is not something I can do right now.

You're referring to zalmyb's 645 shots, right? I agree, Delta 3200 looks great in MF.
The grain in yours reminded me. I know it isn't Delta in yours though.
Ah yes, zalmy's too. I had looked at them earlier without realizing they were Delta 3200! Great shots. I'd love to try it out but I just know it wouldn't get much use. I am just not an everyday walk around type shooter.

I'm getting the Bessa R4A with a CV 28 1.9 and hopefully a CV21. I am really excited! I have REEEALY old Minolta 35mm cameras that I've been shooting 35mm with (and of course the huge Canon 1V that is just not that portable) and can't wait to get my hands on something smooth and more modern. I really like wide angle shots, too, so the 21mm is very exciting to me.
Developing your own film is super easy! Before I had my darkroom built, I did it in my bathroom. All you need are a few measuing cylinders, chems, a tank with reels, drying clips and possibly a changing bag (if you don't have a light tight bathroom). I recommend stainless steel reels and tank - I hated my plastic patterson thingy. I found it really frustratingly hard to load. I did both 35mm and 120 film in my bathroom for the longest time and just stored everything under the sink!

Those WA RFs are pretty cool - the biggest pain about using a WA lens on a RF is using an aux VF. 21mm is a time-honored focal length in the M mount world - you'll have a lot of good options!
