Nikon FM2n, AI Nikkor 50mm f/1.8S, Kentmere Pan 400, developed in LegacyPro L110 at 1:31 for 5.5 minutes. Three individual black and white frames shot through Tiffen #25 Red, #58 Green, and #47 Blue filters, respectively, then combined using GIMP to create a trichrome color image.
Last quarter of the year, time to start reviewing this year - so one from the archive from January. This year has been very analog heavy, and it started right away in January. I brought the MX and a Ricoh to Bali, this is the latter with an Ultramax pushed to 800 if I remember correctly. Taken with a 50mm F1.4
Earlier this year, Negative Supply introduced ANR glass for their 120 Full Border Cassette MK2. I like the full border scans in 120, even though the cassette is a bit fiddly to work with. The glass arrived about a month ago and once installed, no matter what I did, the film either wouldn't load or if it did load, wouldn't feed. I asked Negative Supply about it, got a couple of answers but none worked. Yesterday, in frustration, I was ready to buy a different cassette. The bot asked me what format I was going to scan and my answer was I couldn't make my current one work. I received an answer this morning asking if I had loosened the screws holding the cassette together. The glass dropped down far enough for the film to load and feed. Now I need to head out and expose a couple of rolls.
So many things to say. This was from a roll of 500T that I removed the remjet on before exposure. 35mm is much easier, but really it's not worth the effort on either format. And there seem to be scratches or remjet remaining. Won't be doing that again. The other roll is even worse.
Secondly, it's on a Hasselblad 501cm with a A16 back. Thought I'd try it again. A great camera no doubt, but really a pain to focus. The throw feels miles long. Just sold it.

501 cm + 60mm f/3.5 + hacked 800T
That is what I call a successful failure then. I love the added texture.
A day trip I took to Morro Bay. Largely a failure from a photo perspective. However, I leaned into AI and asked Chat GPT to give me an itinerary. It was impressive with lighting, focal length recommendations and such. Humorously, it recommend that I start at Morro Rock/La Playa Beach. After about 30 mins of searching maps for La Playa Beach I asked where exactly that was. I got the "you're right, there is no La Playa beach, just start at Morro Rock". I have a flashback to Kosmo Kramer's movie-phone endeavor.
