From above, I shot this roll at box speed of ISO 80. I used HC-110 (Dilution B) to develop for 6 minutes. Results are consistent. very high contrast. High contrast but the histogram does not reach full black or white. Processed in NLP using the Lab Soft to reduce contrast. The resulting histogram showed each image did not process to full black or full white (makes sense with Lab Soft profile).
Seeing these results, I'm thinking my next attempt would be to develop in HC-110 using Dilution H and instead of 12-14 minutes, let it cook for 10 to get reduced contrast. Is my thinking correct? Any other suggestions?...Show more →
Try the midway point with Dilution E (1:47)

I picked up a Pentax 645 with a couple lenses. Everything needed work, but after a couple days I have it all sorted out. Since I had this very old unexposed roll of 120 Kodak Verichrome Pan roll - it became my test roll. This is the second time I have tried to get images from garbage. The film came out darkly fogged, showing light leak edges, and it looks to be under exposed, or under developed (16 minutes in xtol 1:1 at 70 degrees). This camera I can focus, and so far it is impressive in it's restored state. I took it, and the two lenses apart, because it honestly was inoperable when purchased.
My dad had one of those Toyota vans, and it lasted forever with it's under the drivers seat toy engine. The engine was about the size of a canister vacuum, and as an engineer himself - he loved to tilt the seat back and show people the "power plant".
So, the Streetcar is running over the Lovejoy Viaduct? Wait, they were torn down in 1999 and the streetcar started in 2001! Must be the elevated train in a large midwestern city. Did airfrogusmc manage to grab a street shot of you?

Good eye! The underground portion of the midwest's largest city's elevated train...and then the elevated portion!

Leica M7, Voigtlader 21mm f/4 Color-Skopar VM, Kodak Portra 800 (for the color images), Eastman-5222, Xtol 1:1 (for black and white images).
I strongly dislike my current 120 scanning set-up. So much so, that it discourages me from shooting 120. I either need a better copy stand...or trick my dad into long term loaning me his Voigtlander 65mm Macro.

Awesome shots - how have you rated the 5222?
Thanks Ineound. Well, _jim_ was the first person I saw using 5222 XX and he suggested shooting the rated 250 ISO @ 1/3 of a stop overexposure - and what sounded like aggressive agitation _IMO. I shot at rated ISO, extended my development time, and agitated gently and less frequently.

When using 5222, do you have any issues with light piping? I find that that usually have small light leaks through the sprocket holes for the first two-ish frames of every roll. I don't have this problem with other bulk rolled stocks.
