It was such a great camera. I feel like all the Nikon pro-sumer bodies over deliver.
Sadly, my current Nikon pro-sumer body - a 2000 New FM2 has stopped working...need to get it repaired.
Nooo...! What happened? My FM2n has been has been solid since I got it used 6 years ago (knock on gelatin), but I've contemplated a FE for backwards compatibility with pre-AI lenses. I recently got a N8008s, which is another underrated prosumer body.

(Looks at calculator...types in 80085...chuckles an immature laugh.) I'm sure the N8008s is gonna be a great camera.
I lent my FM2 to a friend (against my better half's better judgement). They returned a camera where the wind mechanism cocks the shutter but doesn't advance the frame. Considering the amount of plastic inside the FM2, I'm sure that something snapped. Considering the amount of FM2's made, I'm sure there are parts.
