What's the difference between the 135 Sport and the 135U? I know there is also a 120 version but that's for another thread.

The Sport is the bottom of the barrel version. I think the U has a built in level in the VF - which is awesome (I had to glue a level onto the top of the vf) - and extended shutter speeds. The Sport only goes down to 1/30 sec.
I had the 120 version for two rolls of film. A complete beast and you only get three or four shots per roll! (I forget) It was too big, too ungainly and too silly to use, so I sold it soon after.

I was looking at the Noblex just for fun and noticed the big difference in price. The Sport looks like a good deal for an occasional use, specialty camera. Apparently, it doesn't make enough noise to scare the dogs.

I am completely happy with my Sport, it was serviced by Precision Camera Works who installed new rubber rollers, and it works great. I use it as a daylight handheld camera, so 1/30 sec is plenty slow enough. Like all gear, you have to use it or exercise it occasionally so the mechanism stays healthy.

Nice comparison w the Widelux here. You can see the image is significantly wider with the Noblex:

https://silvergrainclassics.com/en/2023/11/noblex-vs-widelux-a-widelux-photographers-review-of-the-noblex/

And some great shots in this review:

https://everythingremindsmeofyou.com/journal/the-noblex-135u

edit - I saw on ebay there is a broken 135S from Israel for $500, another broken one for $650, a 135U from Italy that starts at $800 reserve not met, and one for $1500...

Took me a moment to figure out what was happening in the second to last shot! Very cool result.

Oh boy am I going to get more of this film. Kodak Aerocolor IV 2460 (Reflx Lab Pro 100) in 220 on my Mamiya C330. Shot at EI 80 on an overcast morning; this seems to bring out the best in this film. I've shot quite a few rolls of it in 35mm; this was my first in medium format and wow.

The first frame or two on this film almost always has light-piping but I've never seen it like this!

A little study of the old school building in Martinsburg, PA. Some believe it to be haunted. Building is still in use, but not as a school. It sets an imposing presence in town as you can tell.

N80, Kentmere Pan 400 at 400, kit zoom lens, I think.

HAHA. I don't think so. Just looks like an ornamental wave-ish thing-a-ma-bob to me.

@madNbad if you think your photo got me triggered, get a load of this nonsense

Rollei QZ35W, HP5, and apparently not enough agitation during development.
