Ah, that makes a lot of sense (the Japan bit, not the Texas bit ). The Japanese really know their stuff when it comes to man-made but natural-looking locations. They know how to modify nature the least, or build it up again until it looks real.
Unfortunately, it was a lot less peaceful than it looked. Tourists (me included) everywhere. Still, I think it was my favorite amongst the temples I visited, but I'm a sucker for that worn and weathered, moss-covered look.
Hi everybody,
Excellent shots!
I have recently started shooting and developing my own film and am loving the process.
The only problem is that my shots have all these white specs on them, it doesnt look like dust, more like dried up chemicals. I dont know what Im doing wrong, if anybody could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

After 7.5 yeas of living in Japan I can say they they are astoundingly good at destroying any kind of nature they can find. They bushwhack it, clear-cut it and then coat it in cement.

Ah, congratulations! I have recently shot some 4x5 but have yet to process them Thanks! Good luck with the development. I have been having trouble with uneven development in bright areas (sky, snow..). According to Ansel it is because of not enough agitation, specifically early on in the development.

Haha, well both are true, paradoxically. You won't find any other culture which makes nicer gardens, or makes more subtle changes around temples, for example, but yeah, I have also heard about their cities, which sound awful.
Love all three Nate! Well done. Do you need to do much PP? Just asking as the colors you get are all bang on. Hope you are safe and your family is well over there....
