The Honda Fit is actually a really versatile car, totally misunderstood by the North American market. Everyone here wants a Canyonero that's twelve yards long and two lanes wide.

My whole family needs a larger vehicle than a Fit to well... fit; but when it gets down to it for commuting/lesser use, I don't understand why more folks in the US don't drive hatchbacks. They're roomy enough for 4-5 folks, have good fuel economy if gas powered, and you can fit a lot of cargo. I've always been partial to VW Jetta Sportwagen's myself although I prefer maintenance on Honda and Toyota vehicles. I'm still rocking our 2012 Odyssey though which has slightly lower fuel economy than something like that because it's old and continues to avoid putting anything in a landfill for my very short commute (which unfortunately is not bicycle safe).
