I just got this lens repaired - the very common oily aperture blade issue which causes the blades to stick - and I can't get over how good this lens is. Easily matches my Leica 35mm lenses.
FYI if anyone has one that needs fixin - Deans Camera Repair in Torrance did mine for $100

Yeah been eyeing a 4Runner for a 2nd car and to pull a small sub-5000lbs travel trailer. But I have also thought about a little tear-drop for the girls and a top-tent for the boys. Main goal is to camp without the onerous prep of car camping.

Teardrop is very convenient and probably hurts MPG less than roof tent. Having to "break" camp every time you want to drive is a bit annoying, but obvious re: RTT.
Does anyone know if the Fujica G690BLP requires a special cable release? I have two functional bodies, but the cable release I have (which works fine on a GW690II) will not work on either G690BLP. Or is the cable release a common failure point on the BLP?
