I will follow that since I've got the second (moldy) MC 58/1.2 from eBay,
but luckily the fungus was almost cleared.

Thanks Koji. I find these lenses pretty easy to open up and clean out. Maybe I need to make a page for that, too

Great Paul, thanks much. Yes, something about taking lenses apart (not just this one) and dealing with fog, fungus, whatever. Do you think you'll ever take apart your new 20-40? As a newbie, I'd like to know more about what can be treated and what can't when it comes to buying old lenses, what to avoid, etc.

Duh, Paul why didn't I check this thread before I converted my Rokkor today >_<! Now it's all done and ready to shoot.

Here is a test shot on my 350D (the 5D is having some hiccups

)

@f1.2 just converted to JPG, zero sharpening.

It can be converted, but not in this manner. It requires much skill and a room full of expensive tools.
