That is a truly beautiful protrait Chris, just lovely. That it is of a cat is neither here nor there!

Meet mouse

He's quite a character:
he's the one on the right of this shot.

Kentt, I think #3 is what they call a 'great product placement shot!'

He looks mad that he was interrupted.

Chris Fawkes -

Yours is a truly amazing photo - notice how the cat's irises perfectly mirror the cat's fur. A beautiful, sublime image....

I hereby give Marcus Watts the award for funniest thread title of the week.

Some time ago I invented a mildly pejorative acronym that's related to this topic: TGCF (takes great cat photos).

That's a lot of noise. I don't remember my 20d being so noisy at high iso's

Hello
These are my cat shots with the 1.8 85 mm at f 1.8. They were made to try out my new mark III at 6400 ISO in a poorly lit part of our living room with energy saving bulbs. The camera focuses very precisely on any of the selectable focus points, indeed, much better than my 20D. The potential of the 1.8 85 mm comes out much better now. Hope you like the results.

Here is another brown tiger. She is 17 years old in this picture, lit by one 18 W fluorescent tube and exposed at f/1.2, 1/60 s and ISO 1600. Depth of focus at f/1.2 is not large enough to contain the eyes and the forehead simultaneously. http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/8380/webrosaf1260s8241sx9.jpg

A Maine Coon Cat. At first glance you realize you best not turn your back on it.

Just a cat.
