i have a generic NP-E3 battery for Canon 1DmkII/1DsmkII and also an OEM dead NP-E3. you can take the end cap from the dead OEM and put it on the generic and you will have one hell of a backup battery that is weather sealed like the oem.

Bump - I found the rear cap to the Russian TS lens I sold, i sent one of the Canon ones I had with it, this one says EOS on it.
Free to a good home, I have plenty of real ones.
