That entire sequence was captured with the 1DX MKIII/EF800mm, just the right day, just the right air. When the 800 was on, it was wonderful, and when the atmosphere didn't cooperate I might as well have been shooting with a hundred dollar lens.
Went to DC to cheer my daughter who was running the Marine Corps Marathon for the first time and she survived! I was a bit surprised to see quite some folks running with their disabled families/friends in wheelchair. It was emotional for me to see such good hearts.

Your daughter is a welcomed addition to the MCM Douglas! 10K is as far as I ever ran...raced? No way! I was always a "sprinter" in athletics. Cross country and over the 100 yard dash? Heck no!
