Things got a bit nasty in my neck of the woods Friday evening. JIII and I were just coming home from dinner, as we pulled into the garage the sky opened up. I'm still finding busted stuff but so far it looks like our roof/lawn furniture, landscape lights, coach lamps are all toast, and our landscape/trees got shredded. Spent 12 hours attempting to clean some of it up yesterday and made a good dent in it......no pun intended.
We had a good one Friday night around midnight. I think we got a downburst. Lost some large limbs from our big pecan tree, three came down on the lawn furniture and some of Susan's roses on the pathway. I spent all day Friday finishing up the Spring cleaning in the back yard (we have have wet days for the last two months, not hard rain, just wet). Anyway, Friday evening the backyard was spotless, then came the storm. There must have been a lot of dust in that storm. After I cleaned the pool Friday, the pool was very cloudy Saturday morning with a coating of silt on the bottom. I spent all day yesterday and today cleaning it up. Looks much better, still a lot of little cleaning to do. Looks like there are some limbs cracked at the top of the pecan tree that will have to be cut...YUK!
The perimeter of the corn field got hammered. Many stalks along the perimeter were bent. Some were even laying on the ground.
You got some work to do as well Ray, what a project...Pools are a lot of work.
Corn took some damage as well it looks like.
Still another month till harvest ?
That's a big tree as well, don't want any limbs falling off on ya tho-
A big day in the life of this Papa, after much prep work over the past year, the perfect conditions presented themselves and James and I went flying, his first time. Hope it meant half as much to him as it did to me........

Sorry to hear that the bad weather made its way to your home Jim!
I watch the Weather Channel when I fist get up and it seems the bad weather is all around you.
Glad my buddy had his "g'pop" with him. I am sure he felt much safer riding with you!
Stay safe and dry!

Ray you live in "wonderland"! Surrounded by corn fields and agriculture! Sorry Mother Nature decided you need a wake up call but she wants us to know, she is in charge!
Stay safe braugh!

Many memories here Bill! When on "Bright Lights" operations, our close air support depended upon the A1 was our backbone. Normally flown by Vietnamese pilots but they flew them well and saved our "six" many times! Also saving a downed pilot or lost recon team member due to ambush.
Beautiful shots!!

Thank you Joe! I had planned on sticking GoPro's on the plane and documenting the moment, but it kind of fell into place and I decided to just savor the moment and be satisfied with a couple of iPhone pics, a radical departure for me.
