Been skulking a bit here appreciating the amazing photography. Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, basically in Tucson, has a biennial air show from which these images are from. A bit different, still relevant I hope.

Nice combo with the people, people also make the airshow... and welcome.

The first photo looks like the C-5 brought all the people to the air show as they are spilling out of it. Cool shot.
Tony those Phenom 300’s are wonderful aircraft. I have a half dozen clients/friends that own them and I have spent quite a bit of time in them, just a great owners aircraft. Like the Pilates, they sell all that they can make.
Truth be told, I am not a big proponent of single pilot jet, or turbo prop operation, redundancy is a good thing, but most of the people that I know purchased them for that very reason. All of them could easily spring for a Gulfstream , but don’t because they want to fly them themselves. Garmin’s “auto land” feature would go a ways to making me more comfortable, but still, with weather and busy airspace I like a couple of qualified pilots on board.

Thank you, gentlemen. Yes, it's a C-5 in which many people took shelter from the unbearable heat of that day. This year's show will also be in late March, and just hoping I don't end up sunburnt again.
That’s about right Tony. One of my clients, who changes jets like we change socks, just sold his 300 with just over 300 hours on it, and has a new one coming in a month or so. There are folks who circumvent the long wait, he’s one of them. I’ve got another good friend who is on that preferred list with Gulfstream. They have a five year wait list, he had his 120 days after he made the decision. They gave him the factory demonstrator that was headed for paint and interior. And they just put his colors on it, it was slated for every available option, so no changes there.

I finally had to break out my 300mm f2.8 for a soccer game last night. It has been several years since I shot soccer on this pitch and hoped I wouldn't shoot it again because it is so dark. Imagine a 1950's football field with 1950s lighting. I was hoping the dads would surround the field with their F250 pickup trucks and turn on their high beams, alas, there wasn't enough of them. Anyway, I could say it was a dark field, so I will just add I had to use the flashlight on my phone to check the lens stabilization switches...
Just read an interesting article, where art critics notice the similarities of this shot of the balloon recovery:
To oil paintings of the sea, in particular this Winslow Homer:
They interviewed Petty Officer Thompson. He was up all night processing over 1,000 images. Some underwater with a Nikon D5, the image above with a Canon 5D. And then he had to whittle those down to the best 10 images. “When I saw that shot,” he said, referring to the searchlit image, “I knew it immediately. It kind of looked like a ‘Washington Crossing the Delaware’ shot to me.” He said he thought, “That looks like something the old masters would have made, and that’s the shot I’m using.”

All super compositions Harry! I especially the one of the chutist. When I was airborne, we had those old time mushroon canopies and no control. Look out below!!!
Canon asked me to take a survey for the R6 I bought. Part of the survey asked about features were important for my next camera. One of the features was:
"Security/Disable/Device Tracking features"
Are we talking about linking the camera operation and location to your phone? Wonder how effective that would be to stop thieves? I checked the box for that one.

your comment may have brought to light that we are being tracked! From everywhere! I had my ID stolen! Fact!
I don't say this as "OMG! bla , bla bla...BUT just think about it: As an information gathering entity for developing another camera, software...whatever the relivant reason.......would you, as a manufacturer, want to know the "workflow" of an users use of their product to enhance features?"
I would IMHO! I am a capitalist!
I am afraid anominity is become an "oxymoron".
Just my $.02! It has a "no need to reply" response.
