I would say sell them, Mark, unless they have sentimental values to you. I usually sell my cameras/lenses once I don't use them or if I have better ones. They are just taking up space. That said, yesterday I counted I have 14 lenses and 4 cameras and it's just a hobby for me. It's a disease.
Yeah, I know. Same here. I'm afraid to do that inventory, but here goes:
Bodies: 10D, 7D, 1DIV, 7DII, 5DIV, R5 - 10D is sentimental and worth nothing, 7D is worth nothing. Should try to move the rest.
Lenses: 12 - Should at least move the redundant ones (70-200, 100-400 Ver 1) and a couple crop-only lenses.
I'm jumping through the hoops to get blanket approval for drone work at two busy airports. I have been trying to go through normal online channels but numerous roadblocks keep popping up so this morning I went directly to the top FAA drone guy and we'll see where that gets me. The work is ongoing for the next several years and approval needs to be pretty spontaneous so weebeesee.

I have an unexpectedly light day today so I'm working on migrating and backing up files. OWC sent me a new Thunderbay 8 enclosure earlier this week and I filled it with new 18TB drives. That gives me 126TB of storage with one drive failure redundancy in that enclosure. Eventually I'll retire all my Thunderbay 4 and 5 enclosures and standardize with the Thunderbay 8 units. My current set up should take me through the end of 2023, but man, 4K video eats it up like there's no tomorrow. My Triple 7 client is already at 4TB and I've only done two assignments for them so far.

It happened once on a Saturday in October 2009. Harder then holding the 800 was trying to find an airplane in the viewfinder. The bummer part was my 7D arrived the following Monday. (Pics 1&2 taken with the 800mm on a 30D, the last one with a 70-200)

I have taken your advice about these EHD Jim!
I love them! The peace of mind that all my images are safe is most peaceful.
I am still on Thunderbolt 3..but that is ok!
Dan
Glad that you like your set up Dan! Keeping track of our images and video is so important, the number of times someone will say, "Yeah, I have everything on an old hard drive" is more frequent than you might imagine. When the old hard drive finally hiccups, it's all gone, a horrible thought. Most photographers don't invest in the type of digital infrastructure that I have whirring around at home and at the hangar, but I kind of feel like I'm obligated to protect my client's images, they have millions invested in them. I know it's not my responsibility once I have delivered their copies, but I just don't feel right about that. When they lose them, and they pretty much all lose them at some point, I'd hate to tell them....."Sorry......".
People make the difference. Got a note today from a gentleman in the FAA and he is going to help expedite my on field drone work at Alliance and KTKI. Still requires approval letters from the airport management and ATC, but he has streamlined the process for me, great guy.
Caught this B-787 departing Fort Worth Meacham Airport on Saturday evening.
There were only two pilots on board when they left, I thought to myself, I wonder if those pilots think it is weird to have no flight attendants, no passengers, no cargo, etc., on this special flight?
The plane went to Chicago, then three hours later, it was on it's way to Tel Aviv, Israel.
