I sure do like those "manned" vehicles with the TX on the tail vs what my old unit is flying these days...

This is one of the more challenging venues. Everything is gold, and poor lighting. Trying to get the skin colors correct is a PINA! The gold hues are very dominating.

Just pull the warmth out until you don't like the blue tone, then add a tiny bit back in.

Hi all , here a photo from last year.
Not much going on here flying wise, don't know if you all are up to speed with our political shenanigans.

Cows , Farmers , Builders etc are producing to much nitrogen and we have to much PFAS in about everything.

So we need a lot of houses that can't be build because of the above, so a lot of Boo boo and no no.
So you figured it already out airplanes are a big no no in their eye's so all foreseeable planned air shows in the Netherlands are cancelled.
So as far as I can see we only have The International Air tattoo left in the UK and maybe one European show that I can attend.
But because of high inflation all prices are ridiculously high on energy etc.
I'm starting to notice that old photo equipment value is dropping like dead fly's because of the introduction of mirrorless.
So I have a couple of expensive doorstops in a couple of years

Back to the normal programming

RedBull B25J at the Sanicole Airshow last year done in B&W.

Enjoy you Sunday.

Very nice B&W conversion, JA! Well here they are banning gas stoves in some places, in the meantime, the bigwigs flew hundreds of private jets to Dovas, Switzerland to talk about climate change. Our transportation secretary got caught putting a bicycle in a big SUV, and unloading the bicycle later when he was close to the office, pretending he was biking to work. Politicians are thieves and liars, no matter where and what party they belong too.

So true Douglas!

Sorry Jan Arie, sounds like you are succumbing to the Greta Syndrome, ridiculous. I’m thinking about adding a T6 to the stable just so I can protest! One of the guys in my old hangar complex had a flaming lefty for a wife, it would drive her absolutely crazy when I’d pull the T6 put and belch smoke and flame, I loved it and it was more than worth the price of admission. They are destroying us and we are just standing with our collective hands in our pockets letting them.

Just some darn fine images here! From everyone!

Jim that set-up of yours looks to be a "beast" to handle! I see what the photographers on the football games are using and yours looks to be a bit more volume and weight!

Do you use it body/hand held?

Hi Dan,

So far I use the RS3 Pro all handheld, there are several vest mount rigs that transfer the weight to the videographer's body, but they limit spontaneity, cost two grand and look like they'd be a pain in the neck. I shot for a couple of long days with it just as you see it and the results were fantastic, my arms and back muscles let me know that they weren't happy, but they'll get used to it.

Amazon just dropped off two more pieces to my puzzle, a coiled DTap to Atomos Ninja V+ cord and a coiled USB C to USB C cord for power from the Lion battery to the R5C. Connected both up and powered everything on, works flawlessly. Pieces left, SmallRig V-Mount mini bracket and a coiled HDMI to Micro HDMI to run from the R5C to the Ninja V+, both should arrive mid-week.

I've done most of your ground work Ray, let me know if you need any of this stuff and I'll tell you what, how long and where to get it. The coiled cords do not interfere with the balance at all and really clean up the mess of straight cords running everywhere. Now that I'm powering both the R5C and the Ninja V+, I'll do some endurance tests and see how the 48W Lion performs, my guess is I'm going to want a second one as back up, or I might go to the 98W version. Larger than 98W and the airlines start whining about bringing it on board.

Jim, does the Lion battery attach using the SmallRig mini v-mount bracket to the arm? Looks great, plus, I imagine the Lion battery doesn't add much weight over the loss of the V+ battery and R5C battery.

Hi Ray,

Yes, it attaches to the right arm. I'll send you pix as soon as I get it and attach it. The Lion is no heavy at all, but I ended up putting the battery grip back on the R5C so there is still that weight. The Lion doesn't weigh much more than the battery that powers the Ninja V+ though. In order to power the camera via USB C, you have to have a battery in the camera slot, or the double battery booster grip attached, so I decided to go with the grip. The Lion charges the dual batteries in the camera as it powers the camera. I'll let you know how much time it gives you once I get it all set up.

I should have the remaining two components mid-week.

Shouldn't be an issue. Just explain to your clients that the airlines won't fly an essential piece of your photography equipment. So while you wish it wasn't necessary, they will have to provide you with "corporate" transportation, or you will have to travel by chartered biz jet, which would be an additional line item in their invoice.

Be kind and offer to pay for the champagne and caviar you consume while flying in the chartered jet. After all, it's unethical to "pad" a clients bill.

Ok Eddie Ray, one more piece to go and it's ready. SmallRig is really an amazing company, although I don't relish doing business with anyone in Shenzen but how do you not.

You would like it Ray, the coiled HDMI to Mini HDMI will be the final touch. Now let's see how many hours of power the 48W Lion provides. The rig is very nicely balanced and really fairly light given the capability.

Everything that I added to the RS3 Pro could be easily adapted to your RS2 Pro. The only drawback I saw with the RS2 was the fact that the larger mirrored cameras didn't balance well on it, and that is a thing of the past it seems.
