And a floating restaurant to boot...
Historical set of images, Bill, thanks for sharing. I believe this floating boat restaurant was the famous one in Hong Kong. I read that some months ago due to the lack of business as a result of the Xi virus, while it was being towed to another country in Southeast Asia, it "sunk" in the South China Sea. There were rumors that it was for the insurance money.
Yeah buddy!!!! Smokin'!!!!!! Most of my close air support came from Thailand because of my a.o. But if we had a "Bright Light op", no matter where we were in W.SVN, we had carrier air support in all forms!

Ya, bet that was something to sink that and watch it go. I'm sure the water has takin it's toll on it after all those decades.

Bill THANKS!!!!
As I grow older, I tend to "flashback"(1967-1969) to a time where I depended upon my "brothers" to keep myself and my team members out of harms way and focus upon the objective. Did not happen completely! Duty, Honor, Country..and God..Not necessarily in that order.
It was a combined effort!
Thanks!

Nice pixs you have posted as well.
Check out that armory...!
It was a "stash" of weapons recovered near the Ho Chi Minh trail out of Laos.

Remembering Nine-O-Nine and the souls on board three years ago today.
The "Nine-0-Nine was" here about 10 years ago! Met the crew and had lunch with them. I was lucky to have access to the runway and shoot all the classic planes coming to that event as they approached and landed!

Just rolled in from Arkanstol and three days of the most incredible weather. Scaled Wings flew this beauty every evening, it's a 2/3 scale carbon fiber Mustang. Pretty slick as far as detail and performance, the Rotax sound is a bit disconcerting to a Mustang fan, but it won't kill yo like the LS7 powered Mustang models. Probably the most accurate and pretty Mustang replica yet and they modified the airfoil to get rid of the laminar flow nasty stall. Apparently this one is pretty docile, but if you pour the coal to it it will zip you across the sky at 200 knots. Looked pretty cool in the setting sun last evening. We had two C130's come around and do low approaches yesterday afternoon, it was a big hit.
