They could have left the elected Russian friendly government in place instead of directly funding the overthrow of it in 2014 and installing a western friendly TV personality. This all happened under VP Brandon and here we are with part 2. The energy/food starvation of America. You have to burn it all down to "build back better" right ?

I'm sorry to the regular posters here with this kind of response but I'm sick & tired of being lectured with TV talking points and propaganda.

Lectured? Hey, no one's calling you Grasshopper...

Look, I'm not advocating for or against Republicans, Democrats, or Trumpists. I'm not for or against any "side". I'm trying to discuss ideas and facts so that we can agree on things. If y'all can't agree on FACTS, then well, you have a serious problem, don't you? As I said before, debate is crucial to the health of the republic.

So don't get pissed at me. If you disagree with me, or you think I'm mistaken, just say so and tell me why I should change my mind. I'm perfectly happy to be convinced, I just don't subscribe to ANY theories that are devoid of support and are accepted because anyone's Trusted Talking Head #1 or #2 says so.

So about your first paragraph:

The U.S. government has been meddling with other nations' government for decades if not centuries. They engineered the coup in Guatemala that overthrew Arbenz in 1944. The current maniacs in Iran are there because the U.S. put them there via the coup that overthrew the Shah, too. Other examples exist. So sure: though I don't see data to indicate that the U.S. did intervene, it could have happened. So let's assume it did and go with your argument.

What I'd like to know is, how do you draw a line between that and the assumption that such an intervention represented a DELIBERATE action to create a crisis back in the USA? You're claiming they predicted and even influenced world affairs in advance, with that kind of impact and precision... and nearly a decade in advance, no less. And you're claiming that the "energy/food starvation of America" was planned by one political party "to burn it all down" for their own gain. Am I understanding your point correctly?

If so, how does your "explanation" account for the fact that the energy problems, supply chain crises, high inflation, food crisis, and so on that you're attributing to the Evil Dems are a GLOBAL problem right now? Each and every one of those problems is wreaking havoc in essentially EVERY country on Earth right now. Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa... we've ALL got these same problems, at the same time. Everyone else agrees on why they're happening. So what makes you think it's a USA conflict between one group and another?

Note that I'm not making any arguments here. I don't understand yours, and I'm explaining why I'd like more detail, and data, and explanation. Would you care to support that theory a little more, please?

Ok Boys, let's take this to another form of communication. I believe the Brethren are sufficiently fed up with this conversation. We'll see what happens in November and beyond, no minds are going to be changed regardless, if they haven't been changed already, let's give it a rest, before Fred gives it a rest for us.

One of the few, rock solid, hang my hat on truths is that this little Lady was, is and will continue to be (short of Salvation), the greatest gift in my life......53 years today (plus five dating)..................She's a very patient little Gal............

I'll save you the typically painful "unboxing video"...... , but I picked up the Mavic 3 Pro this morning and have been charging all of the components. Next step is to customize the parameters and go fly a little. Much as I love the Inspire 2 X5S, I'm looking forward to some spontaneity and not feeling like I'm hauling NASA around with me when a drone assignment arises.

I used to fly an old phantom once in while to go along with a boat photoshoot if requested. Talk about stress flying from inside a moving boat on the intercoastal with no place to land if contact w drone is lost. If you forget to turn off "return home" when signal lost and change to "hoover in place" you're screwed.

Wow Jim, I don't think we've seen a photo of a young(er) Jim and Sheila before. Handsome couple. A little bit envious of your relationship. Congratulations to you both for being so blessed. And Happy Anniversary.

How old were you there? Maybe 22 or 23?

Mark

Thank you Mark, I had just turned 20 and Sheila was 19. Looking back from a Dad's and a Grandfather's perspective, I can see why my Dad was scared to death for us, we were kids. I knew then what I still know to this day, Sheila was sent from my Creator to guide me on some semblance of a straight path through this tangled mess, and that she has ably and faithfully done. We were 14 in February of 1964 when we were introduced, our eyes met and well, that was that. I'd say , "choose your mate carefully". but one is much better off letting God chose them instead. To say that looking back over the past 53 +5 is humbling is to understate.

I went back to look at your Indigo Bunting. Knowing how small they are, you are really making use of your 800. We had a painted bunting show up about 5 years ago and he was small and on an electrical line. Very happy you got yours on a limb. Stay happy with that lens Don.

Thanks, Ray ! Been real happy with how 800 can perform in some decent light.

This Bronchitis/whatever has me struggling to break 50% of my normal energy level. I'm on day 3 of a handful of chemicals that are supposed to help. Today was a bit of a bear, two assignments back to back with the second one being a pool installation. The temps were nudging 93 by 5 pm so I had to dig deep to get what I knew was there. I shot a bunch of stills as the light changed and did two drone flights to round it out. This is one of the hero shots................

As you all are aware, storage , expedient storage, is a constant battle. I've gotten into the habit of ordering an 18TB hard drive every month from OWC and just putting them on a shelf in my office closet until there are 8 of them, then I order another Thunderbay 8 RAID enclosure. That kind of spreads out the pain compared to buying all of it at once. Backblaze sends me a storage e blast a couple of times a week, it's helpful because they rate the reliability of all different brands of drives and they have thousands of them running 24/7 so they have great data. Today's email discussed cloud storage and the associated costs.
I go through the mental gymnastics of my system vs cloud about once a year, this article made it real simple:
