In this instance "knock out" meant build it, which I did today, in a south wind gusting to 40+. But I got the back wall finished, just didn't stand it up because we're supposed to get some pretty good storms tonite and I didn't want to find all that work in another mature tomorrow!
Well Jim, that is quite the project! Please be careful – it looks a little isolated to be working on your own.
I'm definitely way out in the country when I'm working on that project. I enjoy the solitude. I guess if I keeled over no one would know but the horses..................
Thank you Dan! You are too kind!

Wonderful series Douglas! That last image is a great example of the depth of field effect that keeps drawing me back to the 600/4.
Thank you Jim! The Amish don't like having their pictures taken so I had to use long focal length. It's disrespectful to show their faces. The main purpose of that trip was to photograph the same snowy owl. This time he was about 70-80 yards out in the field, I was hoping he would fly towards me and smile at me. But he just sat there for the entire 5 hours I was there.
Here is an uncropped picture of the owl, at 840mm focal length.

All's beautiful but the led lights and blinkers.
Thanks Bill! Some of them drive cars, so those buggies with LED lights are still way behind.
One from this morning heard the Cougar flying around he was doing fast rope exercise on the other side of the river so i drove around.
I found out that the 500 with the 5D4 was still a bit heavy for me for now and i have to do some tweaking in the menu with all those case's.
But i still was able to produce one keeper D:

My favorite mode of air transport "J-A"! Wonderful capture!!!
I cannot hold my 500. I have to use a mono or tripod! Just too heavy! Plus I have an ancient one with no IS!
Again nice!

I love the Amish Country Douglas! Such fine images! You have one helluva and eye to spot this wonderful owl in that huge field!
Did you stop at the "RailCar Hotel"? The downtown market?

Wonderful Jim!
I had the distinct pleasure of riding in the MI-24 fully locked and loaded many years ago while working in Russia! What a rush!

Ray, this model helo is forever embedded into my brain. I can hear Jim's nephew's air group(Blackhawks, Apaches and Huey's) fly North over my house but especially the Huey's...I can hear them distinctly above the drone of the other airships!
Thanks for the memories Ray!!!! Oh ours weren't as pretty/shiny!

I've been aware of this legendary thread for many years. I've never really had anything to contribute, but have started recently pursuing more aviation photography, so might have more images to contribute.
To start, here's an F35 from the 2021 Pacific Air Show. I liked this particular angle with the vapor.
