Zero cases of the China Virus in this hospital when I arrived, five days later there are 61 confirmed variant cases. These stats are from non-political Dr. sources that I trust. Of the current 61 cases, one is a vaccinated individual.
Dorothy was right, "There's no place like home........" Been on the road for a week and it seems like a month. Just walked in the door to a list of new assignments and a couple of new potential clients in the Northeast, one is an international architectural lighting manufacturer. We dodged thunderstorms most of the way home today, but the boys up front......can you even say that anymore?..................did a great job getting me home safe and sound, and right on time.

We are encountering a whole weird problem here Jim. The forest fires in the NW has the "jetstream"(vice versa) carrying the smoke here and you can smell, see it in the atmosphere.
A smokey haze all day, all night.....pilots here say "getting above" the ceiling is a bit nerve racking once off the runway.
Glad you had a positive work and flight experience!

Thank you Dan! Yes, it was clearly visible for most of the flight once we were were inland from The Gulf. Not sure where the tops would be because this was captured at FL380

Our skies here in Dallas are hazy. Thinking about doing an air to air this evening if the air is right. I have a high end pool project to shoot tomorrow, hoping for great light.
The forest fire smoke has been around about a week but today you not only could see it blocking the sun but also it had hit ground level fogging everything and you could also smell it!

I understand that it takes money/revenue to "keep the lights on". I also understand that to keep the site free (for the most part), that ad revenue is necessary. I don't begrudge Fred the abiity to keep the site running, and to make a living doing so.
I don't mind seeing ads that are non-obtrusive, but the new pop-ups are anything but non-obtrusive. They are an unnecessary, frustrating, annoyance.
Honestly, if it wasn't for this thread (and the people in it), I would go back to Photography on the Net, or Digital Grin. That's how annoying I find the pop-up ads. It's not the additional ad on the page bottom that bothers me, it's that it is a pop-up that is to large and takes time to load. That time, and the annoyance of having to click to collapse the ad to see what it is covering is the issue for me.
