We heard that there was a 4th of July Parade being put together in our neighborhood yesterday afternoon, so James and I scrambled and showed up in style.................that's how we roll around here.........................
A proud American patriot Jim!! Just like the entire Wilson family! One handsome lad Jim!!!! Got to get that Stetson to him for the next parade!!

Thank you Dan! He checks on your flag every time we arrive at the hangar just to make sure it's in it's proper place of honor. The other day we rounded the corner on the tractor and our two American flags came into view, he began singing "Grand Old Flag..........." We do kneel on occasion, but it's to give thanks for living in the greatest country in the history of the world..........and in the greatest state in that country!
Went down to the Houston area last week to photograph this Falcon 2000 for a client of mine. Great looking background and some nice clouds in the sky make for a nice looking exterior shot.
You have to know Sheila to see the true humor in this image. She's surrounded by mini cows that act more like puppies, and she is not a huge animal person. Halle is telling her all the cows' names and the differences in their personalities. The herd numbers seven now..................

Mini cows...so that is where the Whataburger Jr. burger comes from!?!
Love all animals Jim! I grew up in farm states where they were an integral part of the state.
So nice to see them gathered around 2 lovely women for some one-on-one time!!!

They are funny little animals. I have not really been around the full size versions very much, but my impression has always been that they aren't all that friendly, the minis are a lot like puppies, they follow you around and push against your leg to get you to pet them. The girls are really cute with them. four of the seven are still being bottle fed, so they are pretty labor intensive at the moment.
Animals have an innate sense about humans Jim! My small town(way back then) was an agri town. Cows and grains everywhere. County fair was a hoot!
Now it is a megaopolis of housing, business and people!!! I don't recognize it when Suzanne and I have to go there. Her grandfather was the town doctor and rode his horse to see his patients.
What a shame! It was a wonderful town to grow up in! It is now destroyed!
Then life interfered with that vision

For some reason those jokes don't seem to be very popular around the Feagin farm................
^^
Yeah, once they have names they are pets, not livestock. I knew a couple up near Dallas with a goat farm. They bought several goats for the agriculture property tax exemption. They thought they would maintain a few to keep the ag exemption. Unfortunately for them (they were hippies from the '70s) they named each goat. Before they new it they were overrun with goats. They had to get out of the goat business by selling them to a Mexican restaurant owner, plus they sold their property. Almost killed them each time they thought about what happened to the goats.
Got up REALLY early this morning to catch this arrival into Love Field. What an amazing paint scheme. Southwest Airlines is my FAVORITE airline. I LUV them !!

"Cabritos"! The circle of life man, I have the ability, and desire, to view what I am eating as just what it is at that moment, a burger, a steak, a chicken sandwich. Like the old saying "Law and sausage, you really don't want to know how either is made..........."
Every animal on the Feagin ranch is named and in no danger of dying of anything but over care and old age...............
There are a lot worse places the kids could be spending their time and energy. Dan's right, there is a wholesomeness about the country and the people who live there. Before we had a place in the country I always noticed the difference when we went to small town Rodeos, everyone treats you differently from the kids on up, it's refreshing. Now, when we go up to spend the day with the kids, I see it in them, in the people at lunch and the farm and ranch store, it's the way things should be but increasingly are not.
