But you can live the dream……. All you need is a medical, some flying skills, and a rather large pile of money……. and you could buy Art’s Sea Harrier + T9 twin seater + shed loads of spares. Your fair warning – It’s one of the earlier models – so you get to “enjoy” flying a tailplane that may have been assembled and / or repaired by me…… Not a good look!
Thanks mate!
I have the medical, I did fly helos in SE Asia(unofficially) but money...as a British music group sings.. "Money's too tight to mention!
Thanks brother!

I’m doing drone work just south of AFW today. The system has been working very smoothly today, even authorizations have been instantaneous. Just waiting for the sun to come over a building elevation and I’ll have this project wrapped up. I bid this assignment as five days and between weather and logistical challenges, it’s been every bit of it. Four buildings, hundreds of thousands of square feet, it’s a big one. The client is wonderful to work with so I’m going the extra…..extra mile to get them more than they ever dreamed.
I have a meeting with the marketing department of a worldwide engineering firm tomorrow. The director of marketing mentioned that they have a huge backlog of projects, which is great, because I’m working on filling a year long hole where all I could do was twiddle my thumbs!
Thanks, Dan ! I have not got a real good Painted Bunting shot yet. Hope to see them down at Huntington Beach State Park in August and get one without the jewelry, banded. Pretty cool you have chance of seeing them that far North.

Interesting work Nick! I have DXO, but rarely use it.
Ah, I remember you having DXO now that you mention it. For your situation I fear it may be too labour intensive to be generally useful. However, the noise reduction and ability to dig out the last bit of quality in old / compromised images may be good to have in the tool set. Kinda like grannies best china – used on special occasions, with great care and all due ceremony!

Nick, congrats on England's win against Denmark today!!
Hello Douglas,
Thanks for the kind thoughts. It’s very hard to express just how much that win means for us. We invented football but have only reached the final game in one major tournament – ever! That was 1966 when we won the World Cup. I was 16 at the time …. it’s been a bit of a slow burner.
I don't know that I ever gave it much thought, but you are exactly right, DXO is just too labor intensive for the volume involved in my workflow. I do the updates because it is such a capable software that I like to have it at the ready.
Nick, good luck in the final on Sunday! I know I am in the very small minority here who prefer watching your kind of football than our kind of "football". At least I don't need to put up with the millionaire athletes protesting against their own country's national anthem.
Some flying subjects from the last couple days. No more airshows for my until mid August.
