My Canon 15-35/2.8 RF just came in, should arrive on my doorstep mid week next week. I've owned the 16-35 2.8 series I&II over the years, but the 15-35 is rumored to make those look like you're shooting through the bottom of a Coke bottle. Looking forward to seeing what it will do.
Some of you may remember the car wreck I was in in 2015. A month after the accident, I googled the guy's name, and it turned out he had also later committed two robberies of a gas station and a sub shop, and a story in the paper from the town he was from stated he admitted to needing the money for drugs. I didn't follow up after that. I figured the deductible money was water under the bridge.
While I was working yesterday (supposed to be my day off) my insurance company called and left a voice message. Said the guy that hit me had made a partial payment on the deductible. Sure enough, I get home, get my email, there's the email saying log in to the insurance web site and claim the payment.
I wish the kid well, and hope his recovery is successful and lifelong.
Anyone with a Canon R6 who hasn't done the firmware update, hold off. There seems to be bit of a problem. I'm going to hold off on the R5 and 1DX III update just in case.
One from the vault tried to post that one on FB but because of the compression the photo rendered useless
So Ill try here were there is no compression
Still you can see some block shape artefacts but tried a gradient filter so the sky looked a bit better.
Just got home from a 15 hour day and 8 batteries worth of drone flying. Flew the Inspire in the darkest sky I've ever flown it in, a little bit spooky, but still very visible. Got at least 8 batteries to fly off tomorrow as well.

Beautiful Jan-Arie!!! You doing better??
Sometimes an image can carry a few artifacts that most people don't see. Yours does!

Just WOW!!! Jan-Arie.
Went out in a very windy and cold morning, wish there were more clouds at sunrise but you get what you get.
