All I got was another 60 hour work week... leave before sunrise, home after sunset. Headlamp on to light my way out to the car. Working my scheduled day off, too. "Day of rest" includes grocery shopping laundry, house cleaning... and it appears my laptop (bought in 2012) may finally be giving up the ghost. Monitor is getting darker and I don't touche the controls, yellowish cast to white.

Sorry for all the sports stuff, but that is all that is going on these days in Central Texas.
One baseball photo I always try to deliver to my editor for a baseball shoot is the pitcher and his thrown ball in focus as he throws to the batter. I have only been able to achieve this during daytime games given the light that allows a smaller aperture, but I always think it is cool. It is the polar opposite of a blurred prop.
I am happy that all is going forward Jan-Arie! Suzanne and I got our 1st dose today! I feel a whole lot better that my wife, "at risk", got it! Waay late from other States, 49th out of 50 states in the terrible category, but got #1!
Spent Saturday afternoon at the UMHB vs Southwestern University football game. The two Christian universities played hard with UMHB winning in an rout.

I use the 7D II. The lens I used Saturday is my 100-400 II.
Thank you Ray!
Iam on the fence for the R5 or Sony ar7viii.
I use my 5DSr and 1Dx now....

My 7D II is getting a lot of actuations on the shutter and is about 6 years old. I have not been able to send it in for a clean and check and I am worried it may fail soon; my back up is a 5D III, which isn't great. I am trying to get a 1Dx III loaner from Canon to try out. I had one scheduled but our 8 day storm arrived as they were shipping it so I told them to cancel my request. I am glad I did because by the time it would have arrived I would be late returning it to them. I will try again now that the weather is better. I just need to look at the schedule for night events, baseball/softball/soccer. I am curious about high ISO performance. I use 8,000-12,800 ISO for most of my high school assignments. I love day games like yesterday because I am shooting lower ISO.
I'm surprised Canon doesn't start the clock when it shows as delivered to your hands.

Sorry you are having some frustrations with the 1DX III demo. I'll be more than happy to send mine to you for a couple of weeks if that would help. Just let me know and I'll pack it, batteries and charger and send them off to you.
Thanks Jim. I just have to handle the issues trying to schedule around our Texas weather. Since I won't be buying until the summer I will reschedule with Canon, heck it is free. I am going to talk to the editor this week to see what is on the horizon. Looks like there is about a 3-4 week delay with Canon and that should be OK. If I run into a snag I will be grateful to take you up on your offer.
As always I appreciate your generosity and thoughtfulness!
Thanks again!
Ray
EDIT: I am afraid I will like it so much I will keep it and return a check in the box!

Maryland schools went to night games years ago. I don't like them either Ray. I prefer a Saturday afternoon game!
I love my 1Dx for action shots...
Stay well Ray!!
My tri-monthly jump pay is due so send that C130 to Maryland Don!!! This plane was a "god send" to units under fire and out of ammo and water!!!

You're most welcome Eddie Ray! Just keep me posted on your need, the 1DX III rarely gets used so I can generally spare it. Heck, I'll just bring it down to you.
