I was tracking the one from the right, hence the one from the left shows way more motion blur but it's speed in relation to my camera movement was stupid fast. . .
Right before I jumped in the helicopter this morning two 128GB Lexar CF cards went toes up when I tried to format them in the 5DSR. I decided to stick with my plan to shoot everything with the R5. I don't have the RRS angle bracket yet, it shipped today, so I didn't attach my gyro. I'm about halfway through 1213 shots and have yet to find one that isn't tack sharp, dead on tack sharp. The R44 wasn't available this morning so we took an R22, generally a helicopter with lots of vibration so this was a good test.
What you see here is the culmination of several years of trial and error, beginning with a RED system that proved to be way more touchy than anyone could live with. Anyway, it is perfection now, Sony based and mounted on an R66 Turbine helicopter. My plan is to create a marketing reel as soon as things start greening up in Texas. A great deal of thought, planning and work has gone into this system but it is, indeed, more than ready for prime time. There is not another system in Texas or anywhere close that can hold a candle to what this set up is capable of. Not inexpensive, roughly $6,000/hr. but I believe the end client will forget about that when they are immersed in the end product on a huge 4K display. Everything that I have learned (with much more ahead) about video/cinema, has prepared me to take full advantage of this incredible system................

Jim, Yes. We won the jackpot twice! We have been truly blessed.
We have had both doses of the Pfizer vaccine. The UK were the first country in the world to start mass vaccination. I was called by my surgery to have my first injection on 17th December and my second injection on 7th January. Diana had hers 3 days later. We were within the first 100,000 to get it.

As long as the majority of people still keeps behaving like a donkey's ass, and can only worry whether or not they can go on vacation this little problem as they call it will never go away but that's only my humble opinion.

Glad your Mom is doing well. Yes, that is a bunch hanging out there on the right corner, but the R44 and R66 seem to handle it just fine. There is a ton of extra weight in the cabin as well. When the clock is ticking at a rate of $6,000 an hour, one wants back ups of back ups so there are three recording decks, one additional one just for Proxy footage. Learning the in's and out of the system and becoming nimble with it as you are rotating around in the sky is a bit of a challenge, but the end product is amazing. I have a couple of assignments booked already and I think it's going to be very popular once I get a "reel" together.
Sheila and I are getting the Moderna version of the virus cocktail, dose one on Wednesday, dose two 28 days hence. Our in family Docs caution us that the full effectiveness isn't achieved for at least a month,and possibly two after the second dose.
So over here in the south UK, it’s wind, rain and typically winter gloom. It’s also sausages wrapped in bacon for supper. It’s a tough assignment – but somebody has to do it.
