Sorry Ernie,

It was supposed to be a link to private livery Airbus 380's . There's a company buying up a few and finishing them in personal luxury livery. I have several clients who might jump
On that.

That would be quite a personal jet - you could put an Olympic swimming pool on the lower level

Lady Jo Hunter may still have the one she used for the ISAP buttons.

p.53 #3 · Mustang Air to Air: The Sequel

Hi, been an emotional few days here with events just down the road in Manchester. Shocked that such events could take place in a venue I know very well (was only there last week).

Its heartening to see how communities pull together in tough times and the kind messages & gestures of support from around the world.

The poem below was recited at the vigil held in Manchester last night. As someone who was drawn to the city from southern England for work 20 years ago, met my wife there and made my home in the area; the words hit home. I was welcomed with typical northern wit & have made friends for life. I know this community will pull together and to quote Trump, these 'losers' will not defeat us.

'This Is The Place'
Manchester! This is the place in the North West of England
It’s ace, it’s the best and the songs that we sing
From the stands, from our bands set the whole planet shaking

Our inventions are legends! There’s nowt we can’t make and
So we make brilliant music. We make brilliant bands
We make goals that make souls leap from seats in the stands

And we make things from steel and we make things from cotton
And we make people laugh, take the mick summat rotten
And we make you at home and we make you feel welcome
And we make summat happen, we can’t seem to help it

And if you’re looking for history then yes, we’ve a wealth
But the Manchester way is to make it yourself
And make us a record, a new number one
And make us a brew while you’re up, love. Go on!

And make us feel proud that you’re winning the league
And make us sing louder and make us believe it
that this is the place that has helped shape the world

And that this the place where a Manchester girl
Name of Emmeline Pankhurst from the streets of Moss Side
Led a Suffragette City with sisterhood pride

And this is the place with appliance of science
We’re on it, atomic, we strut with defiance
In the face of a challenge we always stand tall
Mancunians in union delivered it all

Such as housing and libraries, and health, education
And unions and co-ops, the first railway station
So we’re sorry! Bear with us! We invented commuters!
But we hope you forgive us – we invented computers!

And this is the place Henry Royce strolled with Rolls
And we’ve rocked and we’ve rolled with our own Northern Soul
And so this is the place to do business, then dance

Where go-getters and goal setters know they’ve a chance
And this is the place where we first played as kids
And me Mam lived and died here, she loved it she did

And this is the place where our folks came to work
Where they struggled in puddles, they hurt in the dirt
And they built us a city. They built us these towns

And they coughed on the cobbles to the deafening sound
Of the steaming machines and the screaming of slaves
They were scheming for greatness, they dreamed to their graves

And they left us a spirit, they left us a vibe
That Mancunian Way to survive and to thrive

And to work and to build, to connect and create and
Greater Manchester’s greatness is keeping it great
And so this is the place now we’ve kids of our own

Some are born here, some drawn here, but we all call it home
And they’ve covered the cobbles, but they’ll never defeat
All the dreamers and schemers who still teem through these streets
Because this is a place that has been through some hard times
Oppressions, recessions, depressions and dark times

But we keep fighting back with Greater Manchester spirit
Northern grit, northern wit in Greater Manchester’s lyrics
And there’s hard times again in these streets of our city

But we won’t take defeat and we don’t want your pity
Because this a place where we stand strong together
With a smile on our face, Mancunians Forever

Because this is the place in our hearts, in our homes
Because this is the place that’s a part of our bones
Because Manchester gives us such strength from the fact
That this is the place. We should give something back.
Always remember. Never forget. Forever Manchester.
Choose Love.

Hi Jeff,

Wonderful dynamic image of the 35 Steve. Well done sir. One of my good friends is the tower chief at Luke AFB and also happens to be a darn fine shooter. You may enjoy his F-35 images (and others) on his Flickr page - https://www.flickr.com/photos/controltower/

Thank you - you are very kind. Wow - Harvey's Flickr page is a smorgasbord of top grade military aviation images. He is one very talented individual.

Cheers,
Steve.

This P-40E was declared surplus in 1946 and was bought for $50 By George Maude. It remains in the family and is a veritable time capsule Kittyhawk.

Three long days capturing this beautiful home. I wrapped it up this evening racing from the front elevation to the outdoor living space in the back, dragging a 75' hose all over the place to give the images the final touch. If I was 20 years younger, I'd build this one for us, but it doesn't make a lot of sense at this point in our lives.

Beautiful poem! It was horrific.

I am afraid it takes a lot more than poems, flowers, candles, making heart shape with hands to kill those subhumans....

Thanks Steve! Wetting all the surfaces down makes a huge difference in the appeal of an image. I thought that I was going to have Chandler with me to help last night, but his brother Weston has been in a Ball tournament and we've all been attending, last night was the championship and he wanted to be there to support his brother. I had to finish this project yesterday evening or the weather would preclude it wrapping up for another week. Keeping that much granite wet in 80 degrees with a breeze was no small feat, but I got it done. I'm tempted at times to take the easy road and not beat myself up hosing everything down, but knowing the subtle difference that it makes in the imagery prevents me from slacking. The winds were howling yesterday and I debated as to whether I should make the second two hour round trip to the home (I was there at dawn yesterday), because the reflections on the glassy pool were important to me as well. The forecast was for the wind to drop from 15G25, to 4 right at dusk. I was skeptical and really didn't want to make the trip, and miss Weston's game, if it was going to be for nothing, but I pushed on and I'm glad I did.

Today will be an HQ day! Winds 20G30! Probably not a Cub day, but a day of R&R nonetheless.

Look closely at this perspective and you'll see that even the local wildlife endorse this outdoor living space This couple enjoyed a late afternoon swim while I captured the space.

You are correct Douglas! There comes a time, and I am afraid it has passed for many parts of the world, where evil should be confronted like a rabid animal and eradicated. We have become so enamored with the idyllic concept of getting along and everyone singing Kumbaya, that it has blinded many to the cold hard fact that some things are just pure evil and need to be dealt with in, sad as it may be, in a clear and decisive way. What we have already allowed to go unanswered, in the hope that it would go away, is unconscionable. The course required is clear, but can we summon the courage in this mamby-pamby PC world? Probably not, and it may well be too late to stem the tide. While we run around in circles worrying about a couple of degrees of temperature rise, and what bathrooms we need to provide for whom, we chase trivia and ignore the horrific that is at our gate!

Here's a completed shot from the Citation jet that I photographed last Thursday in Texarkana, AR.

Time to be a tourist today, going to tour the oldest city in North America, or so they say. St. Augustine, FL and it is going to be a beautiful day. We've had rain ever since we've arrived, yet Georgia and Florida have been in an awful drought, so the rain has been very well received by everyone.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Shooting a King Air in St. Augustine, on Saturday.

Thank you God, for answered prayers.

After the arrivals at Abingdon - and prior to the show opening - we had an unadvertised extra item. Others here have told us all how difficult R/C model aircraft are to photograph. Well .... it's true These large scale jet powered models put on a very good display. Mostly, I managed to keep them in the viewfinder.
