Looking for some info on Davis–Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ. I was in Tucson last year and was surprised at how busy that base was. Many takeoffs and landings. I will be back there late July. Anyone know if there are good (and safe) vantage points to get some shots there? I will be prepared this time. Thanks for any and all info. PM me if you think this is not appropriate for this topic.

Yes, 5 days for 17TB may sound a long time. However, experience with my own rather modest data set indicates that your right on the money. My 2TB - on rather mid-powered machinery - takes just over 24hrs. Anything substantially quicker is likely not checking the data integrity properly IMHO. Love the way that all this video stuff has turned you into the data storage equivalent of an Auric Goldfinger. You could run a small country on 50TB
My new 4TB external, running on a USB2 connection took about 24hrs for 3+TB - I now have all my RAW files prior to 2017 archived and a full back up of all my other files (plus, of course, my RAID1 configured twin internal hard drives).
Wonderful dynamic image of the 35 Steve. Well done sir. One of my good friends is the tower chief at Luke AFB and also happens to be a darn fine shooter. You may enjoy his F-35 images (and others) on his Flickr page - https://www.flickr.com/photos/controltower/
I photographed two Hawker 900XP jets for a client of mine, yesterday, in Jacksonville, Florida and one of the scimitar winglet equipped Southwest Airlines jet was roaring down the runway on its takeoff roll.
I really like the look of these new winglets!
Hope everyone is having a great week. Resting and recovering from shooting the two jets yesterday, I have a King Air here in Florida on Saturday.
It was supposed to be a link to private livery Airbus 380's . There's a company buying up a few and finishing them in personal luxury livery. I have several clients who might jump
On that.
