On the same subject I had two huge data centers to shoot yesterday, all stills but they wanted drone perspectives as well as street level. 99 degrees, winds 15g25, the Inspire earned it's money. The I2 end product doesn't seem to be influenced by wind much, but it sure sounds like a swarm of mad hornets while it's working. Sure is handy to be able to pop up above an enclosure and capture shots like this.............in the old days this perspective would have required a lift and a lot of jockeying around.
I've been so busy lately with jobs, I haven't had time to post much.
Here are two more shots from my recent trip over to Roswell. Lots of big birds are being stored there, some will never return to the skies, unless they return as beer cans, during beverage service, if we ever get that back!!

Vic, these are great, I don't see much of a downside to getting you started.
I'm not sure where ours fish. Tidal river, and most of it isn't accessible to me.
Mark
Thanks Mark. I do most of my Osprey shooting during the Herring run from late March to late April at a tidal river in Wareham MA with very easy access. Let me know next year if you want directions to the spot.
Cool! So how was private jet travel? I'm told flying Concorde was cramped and noisy, but the champagne flowed like water...guess that helped.
If you can afford it, which I can't, ( !!) private jet travel is the ultimate luxury, as far as I am concerned. No waiting in TSA lines, no waiting to board the aircraft and you can have anything you want to eat and drink.....you just pull up to the FBO or even pull up right next to your aircraft, get right on board, and away you go. Nothing better.

Have you found yourself marveling at the things we used to take for granted? Every once in a while the absurdity of what we are living through right now hits me like a ton of bricks....................
Just got a call from Canon, they are sending my R5 through a dealer in Austin tomorrow and they'll ship it out tomorrow afternoon. I've been immersed in reviews and the Canon forum here, it's kind of like trying to get the truth about the pandemic, I figure I'll get it and see for myself......................the R5 that is.........not Wuhan.............
Well, Iowa and the mid-west got spanked pretty good by mother nature on Monday. Some 100ish MPH straight line wind event that started in South Dakota in the early hours of the morning, around 3am. It came through our part of Iowa around 11:30 am and thankfully we live on the northern edge of this so we saw it, felt it, but no damage. Then it continued on to the Chicago area, about 775 miles in length.
The below pictures were taken from the town of Traer just 12 miles south of us, our home in Hudson. Went for a drive last night to get a few pictures for ourselves and just be nosy. Grain bins, trees, and the corn took it hard.
Thankfully very few injuries but many are going to be without power for days yet. The major transmission lines that bring power to this area of Iowa, Cedar Rapids mostly were taken out. So even though we have a major coal plant and Nuke plant ready to go, they can't get the power to where it is needed and is going to take time for the infrastructure to be restored. Our neighbor works for the power company; his wife doesn't expect him home for several days and said is working very long hours, catching an occasional nap in the truck.

Keep your chin up, we will get through this but it sure isn't much fun. Wish we could go shoot something together and act like this isn't happening.
One day when this is all over we are definitely going to shoot something together.
