Steve ...... That is tremendous.... it's also not allowed! This thread is only for mere earthlings - no alien megabeings need apply.
Aw, shucks, Nick. That one is just an application of the blind squirrel theory. Most of my shots at 1/25 and slower look like this...

I keep finding more keepers, and this one has a pristine backdrop, too. Mi-24 Hind owned by the Cold War Air Museum, Lancaster, Texas.
It's a shame that they can't/haven't sourced a (non-functioning) gatling gun for the nose, and a (non-functioning) rocket, and missile load. Without the gun the Hind looks neutered, and the addition of a weapons load would better display it's lethality.
Looks pretty darn good though, it used to just have the empty hard point standoffs hanging out there, which really ruined the pictures. The colors in those images are spectacular Steve as is your expertise at 1/20th of a second, you're not getting older, just getting better!
Well I did something I didn't think I would ever do again, just bought a new Drobo Array. Seems they have pulled themselves up to speed technologically and have a 5D unit packed with five 10TB drives. I love my OWC units, but they are 4/10Tb slots and in RAID 5 that nets out to just under 30TB, good, but not as good as 40TB in RAID 5. So, it will be here tomorrow and I'll dive in and test it out, if it impresses, I'll order three more.

From what I understand they are slowly working up the armament for the Hinds....More cubic dollars are needed and they are currently taking beluga caviar in trade :P
Got kind of an unusual gig, for me anyway, on Saturday. A new dirt track is opening up and the investors want me to come and shoot the opening race day. I have no idea what the cars will look like, but the action should be kind of fun. "Film at 11............!"
Got the 50TB Drobo 5 this afternoon and immediately fired it up. The set up was typically seamless, except for the 10TB Iron Horse Seagate that was toes up, second one in a week. B&H stands on their head for me, so I'll have a new one tomorrow, but it does cause me to scratch my head a little. They have great warranties, but any failure is a hassle. The Iron Horse drives have incredible TBMF numbers (unless they are shipped to me apparently). Just a minor inconvenience really, B&H's stellar customer service will have it all fixed by tomorrow morning and I'll have 90TB of new space spinning in my system. That will put me over 500TB, not sure what that's called, half a Petabyte?
I should have some nice architectural imagery for you next week. Just got a project that has over a million bucks in the backyard alone, including 80' infinity pools and spas, complete outdoor commercial kitchen/BBQ/entertainment conclave, and the home it's behind is pretty cool too. I told the client that it will take the better part of the week to capture it all properly, should be fun, exhausting, but worth it.
