Thank you Steve, was a wonderful surprise to pop by the airport and see this guy sitting there, timed it perfectly as they were going through preflight just as i arrived....15 minutes later i would of missed him
Well all, been a bit quiet as I had some compuker issues of sort. The HD on the nearly 10 yr old laptop started acting a little goofy and was taking long time to access files, etc. So I splurged and put in one of those 1Tb SSD's and life is all better. I may work with computers on a daily basis but sure don't work on computers daily. Much easier to load up OS these days after making a simple USB boot drive, etc than it has been in the past. Install back all the software, up load the data off back up disk and it is running much better, and data access is much faster with the SSD. Later this year, or this winter I am planning to build a new work desk and when that is complete I will certainly be updating the computer hardware and monitor.
But all this work took me back to the days when I began with digital photography and it was fun to browse back through all of that! Below is Clara and Annie back in December of 2006, to look at Annie today it seems like lifetime ago in one way, and yet in my mind it is only yesterday.

The beginning of "The Digital Age" in the Nehmer household
And while looking back on files I have also had time to go back through the photo's from the Air Force Air Show at Andrews AFB last year. Have some good stuff in there but the sky's were pretty cloudy, flat and yucky much of the time. But as always there is some good stuff.
One of the gems I realized is below, I missed what the announcer had said about this man in the photo beyond Tuskegee Airman. Today I looked back on the web and did some research and it appears he is Brigadier General Charles McGee who recently turned 100 yrs young. He flew 409 combat missions between WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, clearly had an excellent career in the Air Force and started it all while the nation was so sadly segregated; he certainly should be a motivation to us all. Me, I loved the picture from the moment I saw it in the view finder as his face just had that calm, confident peace on it and I am sure it would be a pleasure to spend sometime with him. In the article below it is clear where that calm & confidence comes from; when asked what did he attribute his longevity too he just folded his hands in prayer.
Well, wonders never cease, I’m determined to use this unexpected downtime to get my act together. Tonight , after a day of research, I began populating one of several Instagram pages. Sharpshooter_777 is the location. This first page will be oriented toward commercial photography, not heavily aviation oriented, the second page will be strictly aviation, and there might be a third page dedicated to video. Seems like that structure might prevent it from all running together
