Sounds like a fun trip. Bring a change of clothes though, just in case it turns into an overnighter.

Thanks Laura! It’s in NJ, I may drive down to get it and save the shipping risk. Got someone In NH that needs some Porsche body parts picked up in the vicinity of the lens, so he’ll pay for gas.
BTW, I will offer my 1DX II's to anyone here for $3,000 each, which is about $4 to $500 under market at this moment. I'm going to put them on "Buy and Sell" for $3,500. Truthfully, I do the majority of my day to day work with my 5DSR bodies so these are in fine shape. They are equipped with "UpStraps" and will come with one battery and the Canon factory charger. Each body will come in it's original box.
I'm so confident that the MKIII is everything I'd hoped, (a little insight from my contact deep within) I'll sell them immediately. They'll go on B&S in the next few days if none of you are in the market.
Happy to say that one of my 1DXII's is headed to one of my favorite FM'ers! I'm tweaking it as we speak! I love it when I know one of my trusted cameras is going to a good friend.
Boom! All out of 1DXII's, so happy they will be in the hands of good friends! These really were a deal, immaculate. Maybe I should sell my 5DSR's too and go to the Bahamas...........................ohh wait!..................Naaaaah.

Anybody notice we are less than 200 posts away from 100,000 posts? Pretty amazing isn't it? We've had a lot of fun here haven't we?
I thought we rolled over the 100k mark before the cuts happened?

If you go to the first page of this new thread, there is a link to the archived messages. There were 4500 pages, running from 2007 to 2017.
There were also a bunch of posts that were arbitrarily deleted during that time. Also happened on the Manual Focus thread, too. Most of them didn't have photos, and it was deemed to be "unimportant" to the thread. I remember, as I was posting a placer image that had the color of the thread so it didn't show.
100k posts seems reasonable to me. Being old and having learned math with a slide rule and all.............. Let's see, 100,000 post in 13 years is about 7700 post/year. Or about 21 post/day, and that kinda makes sense to me.
Cold, snowy and windy up here in Iowa, so woodworking projects are the order of the day.
Yup, plus all the posts that were deleted because "they had no photos" but when you go back and read some of the context is lost. I'm pretty sure we were about 105k before the cull.
Manual Focus Nikon Glass thread currently shows 138,357 posts and 8,489,609 views with 942 active pages (not retired to the archives)

It’s the New Math (a joke in this country-they keep changing the way they teach kids math).
I’m not sure how the math works either. But this new thread has about 400 pages and 100K posts, so I just did the ratio from there.
There is probably overlap between the post count and the older missing pages. But in 13 years I would also expect more that 100K posts.
